How DateMantra Ranks Dating Apps
Our "Top Ranked" order is not set by editors alone. It blends three separate signals, so real people help decide which apps come first.
What we consider
- DateMantra editorial assessment — our editors' own rating after testing each app.
- User star ratings — ratings from members who wrote reviews. Apps with only a handful of reviews are treated cautiously, so two perfect ratings can't outrank hundreds of good ones.
- Community votes — the quick upvotes and downvotes from signed-in members. Small vote totals are also treated cautiously.
Kept separate on purpose
Editorial rating, user rating and community vote are shown side by side and never merged into one displayed score.
One vote per member
Each member has one active vote per app. You can switch it, or click it again to remove it.
Commercial relationships and independence
Payment does not buy an editorial score or a ranking position. Where DateMantra and a reviewed app share ownership, the review says so in a disclosure — for example, NRI Dating and DateMantra are operated by the same ownership group. Only published, moderated user reviews count towards user ratings; pending, rejected or spam submissions are excluded. Our editorial policy explains how we create, review and correct our content.
